Nine people became victims of a fire in a nursing home located in the city of Varna in Bulgaria. This was announced on Monday, November 22, by the Bulgarian National Television.
The fire broke out on the wooden roof of the boarding house, where 58 elderly people lived in total, said the head of the regional fire safety department Tihomir Totev.
“When six fire engines arrived at the house, the roof was engulfed in huge flames and black smoke. Firefighters began evacuating residents, but unfortunately nine people died,” Totev said.
