On March 20, during a preventive patrol in the Callería district, in the Independencia human settlement, police personnel from the Ucayali Anti-Drug area received information from an anonymous source about an individual known as “El Colombiano or El Barbas”, who was supposedly dedicating himself to drug trafficking from his residence in the Bolívar passage.

The foreigner is being prosecuted for the crime of illicit drug trafficking and it was ordered that he be interned in the Pucallpa prison.
The judge accepted the request for preventive detention presented by the Public Prosecutor’s Office, because he found solid elements of conviction (evidence) that supported the accusation, such as the discovery of illegal substances both in the possession of the accused and in his home, supported by multiple records. and police testimonies.
In addition, he considered the prognosis of the sanction, which exceeds 5 years in prison, since the probable sentence of the Colombian, if found guilty, would range between 8 and 15 years in prison.
