The man who attacked comedian Dave Chappelle during a show at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles has been jailed for nine months. According to the entertainment website tmz extension the man did not deny the allegations.
Isaiah Lee, 24, ran onto stage during a performance in May and shoved Chappelle. Lee had a dummy weapon with a knife in his pocket.
The man was overwhelmed and broke his arm during the clashes. Chappelle was not injured.
Lee said he is later bisexual and was triggered by Chappelle’s jokes. “I wanted to let him know that next time he should let people he can influence read his material,” Lee said.
In addition to the attack on Chappelle, Lee may be convicted of another crime. He is suspected of stabbing his roommate. In this case he was charged with attempted murder.
