Malappuram> Nine Malayali players in the 14-member Indian team for the Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) Women’s Challenger Cup Volleyball Championship. The championship will be held in Kathmandu, Nepal from Monday to the 28th. KS Gini, KP Anushree, S Surya, Ashwathi Ravindran, Maya Thomas (KSEB), Ashwani Kandoth, Jincy Johnson, Angel Joseph (Indian Railways) and SR Shilpa (Sai Thiruvananthapuram) have been included in the team. The captain is Nirmal Tanwar of Railways. Other stars are S Shalini, Hemalatha, Prerona Pal and Ananya Das. Sudhan Bhushan Mishra is the head coach and Vaishali Fadtare is the assistant coach.
