The last Covid-19 tests have been negative for the players of the Neuchatel “Xamax” team, represented by the defender of the Latvian national football team Mārčs Ošs, the club reports.
On Tuesday, “Xamax” fought in a draw 1: 1 with “Zurich” represented by Andris Vaniņš.
As early as Friday, it was reported that after this match, one of the football players of the Zurich team was found to be infected with Covid-19. A day later, Zurich reported that Covid-19 had been found in six footballers and three club workers.
The Zurich team will be in self-isolation until July 17.
As a precaution, the Neuchatel club also performed analyzes that revealed that all players, technical staff and team administration were healthy.
Xamax reiterated its earlier concern that the resumption of the championship was premature.
