Nina Urgant December 6, 3 days after her demise, received a posthumous award “Star of the Theater Goer” in the category “Legend of the Stage”. This is the only Russian theater award that has the status of an independent audience award.
“Back in October, we called Andrei Urgant and Ivan. Announced the award (even when she was alive). We knew that she would not come because she was sick … But we wanted to present the award anyway. Such a dynasty as Urgant could, of course, arise in such an extraordinary woman as Nina Urgant. Legends have no age and no death … ”- said the organizers of the event.
Recall that Nina Urgant died in St. Petersburg at the age of 92. Her grandson Ivan Urgant wrote touching farewell letter about her, remembering the warmest moments of communication with my grandmother.
Also “Legends of the Scene” were named: choreographer Yuri Grigorovich, artistic director of the Russian Academic Youth Theater Alexei Borodin.
