Young art enthusiasts aged 8 to 12 are invited to a special creative workshop at ⁣the silversmithing Museum in Ioannina, Greece. The workshop,taking place on Sunday,December 8,2024,at 11:00 AM,is part of the‌ ongoing exhibition “Eleni Ginou | Africa ‌| People and jewelry | Travel-photos,” which runs until January 6,2025.

Participants will have the prospect to explore the exhibition’s ⁣captivating photographs and jewelry from the African continent. They’ll delve into the life and‌ work ‍of the iconic ​American singer Nina Simone, learning about her unique connection to⁢ Africa symbolized by the pendant she wore, a powerful representation of her ​heritage.

inspired by ⁢the exhibition’s stunning jewelry, and guided by archaeologist Irene Pyrpasos, children will design ‌and paint their own imaginative jewelry pieces on a portrait of Nina Simone.

The⁤ workshop fee ⁤is nominal, and reservations are required.
