Nina Ozuch, a 29-year-old from Marseille, is a nurse in the emergency department of Sète hospital. Mother of a little girl aged 3 and a half, she lives in Marseillan with her partner and started running only three years ago. Nina distinguished herself in one of the most legendary races: the New York marathon.
On November 5, in Staten Island, she set off in front of nearly two million spectators in the company of 51,000 competitors from five continents. This is the first time she has competed in a marathon but she achieved a performance that will amaze all the specialists. She covered the distance in 3 hours 05 minutes and 13 seconds. Ranked 3rd French out of 640 French entrants. She rose to 144th place among women out of 22,717 competitors and 1,827th overall, men and women combined.
A graduate of the Pézenas Athletic Club, Nina is trained by a talented coach: Rachid Esmouni.
Since returning to her club, Nina is determined: “This New York marathon is truly exceptional. The start with the American anthem sung a cappella in Staten Island is one of the most beautiful memories of my life.”
Nina doesn’t plan to stop there. She is determined to progress and persevere in this discipline.
It must be said that thirty is often considered the ideal age to cover the 42.2 km distance of a marathon the fastest. Nina is no exception to the rule. She could fly the colors of the commune high.
