Even after leaving “Činoherák”, she remained on the stage. Among other things, she was a guest at the Dejvice Theater, where she took on the role of an activist mother in Stories of Ordinary Madness for nine years. She was nominated for the Thalia Awards. Author and director Petr Zelenka cast Divíšková in the film version, which earned her a nomination for the Czech Lion.
Grandma from Tell
Although the film began to notice her as early as the mid-1960s, she mostly played small or supporting roles until she was old. One of the first shootings was the psychological drama Return of the Lost Son in 1966, in which her husband Jan Kačer played the main role – she introduced herself as a young patient in a psychiatric hospital. For example, the intriguing Otelia in Morgiana Juraj Herz gave her more space.
Nina Divíšková has only been given significant opportunities in front of the camera in recent years – for example in the already mentioned film version of Stories of Ordinary Madness or in the comedy English Strawberries and mainly as Grandma Běta in the series Tell. Her name last appeared in the headlines of the comedy Husband for an Hour in 2016.
