For the seventh consecutive year, the Law Association of the University of Nîmes organized the eloquence contest whose final, broadcast online on Twitch, was held last Thursday in Vauban. The key to the winner is participation in the Lysias national eloquence competition in Paris.

Open to all students of the University of Nîmes, its principle is simple: each participant was assigned a unique subject and had a week to sharpen their arguments before presenting them for 10 minutes. This year, around 20 of them took part in the qualifying and semi-final stages.

The final took place on April 15, live on the Twitch channel of the University of Nîmes. The jury was made up of Nicolas Leroy, professor of history of law and institutions, Cécile Codeghini, Mathilde Kamal-Girard, law teachers, Caroline Berger Le Chanony, lecturer in law, and Mélissa Aabaid, M2 student of right in Aix-en-Provence.

– “It is much more difficult to judge yourself than to judge others”, by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry for David Singer, student in 2e year of License psychology.
