With its 13 University Diplomas, the University of Nîmes wishes to meet the skills needs of its territory and at the national level.
For the 2020-2021 academic year, the University of Nîmes is offering three new university degrees around original and innovative themes: parenthood, secularism and cybercrime. In addition, the DU in Cognitive and Behavioral Psychotherapy is now accessible remotely.
The “Support for parenthood” diploma trains professionals in the psychology of parenting to enable them to bring doubts to suffering parents. Defined as a priority area of work by the Ministry of Health Solidarity, support for the first 1,000 days of the child requires consideration of issues related to parenthood, a task that is both stimulating and sometimes alienating. However, parents’ exhaustion has harmful consequences both for themselves (addictive behavior, sleep disorders, health problems), for the couple and for the children (dissatisfaction, conflicts, violence). This diploma focuses on the difficulties that parents may encounter in their children (neurodevelopmental disorders, risk-taking behaviors) and the main approaches to support them (systememia, mindfulness). This training is intended for all professionals working with parents: nurse, specialist educator, psychologist and doctor, but also for people wishing to train there provided they have a license in psychology. The DU Secularism – Mediation is born en partnership with the Institut aux Métiers Educatifs in Nîmes. this University Diploma is aimed at professionals in the private and public sectors: health personnel, educators, facilitators, social workers, agents of prefectures or local authorities, police officers, gendarmes, HRD, teachers, employees of associations … The objective is to enable them to respond to the situations they encounter in the exercise of their professions where religious facts can pose difficulties with regard to republican secularism. For this, they will have to develop a culture of these religious facts as well as a legal culture of secularism as defined by law, in France and in Europe in particular. The approach aims to understand the complexity and pluralism of situations of this type from different angles: legal, historical, sociological, philosophical and psychoanalytic.This DU was recently authorized by the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, for the civil and civic training of active military chaplains and military and penitentiary chaplains. The DU Protection, prevention and resolution of cybercrime risks related to the creation and management of websites is daimed at IT professionals or those who would like to become one, this university diploma will train them in the creation and management of websites but in the prevention of cyberattacks thanks to the mastery of the relevant technical and legal tools. Indeed, at Thanks to the digital revolution, the website has become an essential tool for companies in their communication and prospecting efforts. However, in a context of ever more virulent cyberattacks, cybersecurity is today a strategic issue for them. Applications until November 25, 2020
Finally the DU Cognitive and Behavioral Psychotherapy (CBT) is now accessible remotely. This training allows health professionals (psychologists, psychiatrists, psychiatric interns and general practitioners) to specialize in the practice of behavioral and cognitive psychotherapy. The objective of this university degree is to offer theoretical and practical training specializing in Behavioral and Cognitive Therapy to be practiced in practice and in traditional places of care. The lessons are done live by videoconference and are delivered by CBT specialists. The diploma is recognized by the AFTCC (French Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapy). The training takes place over 2 years, on Friday and Saturday mornings.Applications until November 20, 2020.
