Created in 2006 at Nîmes, where its head office is located, group of private laboratories Phytocontrol (380 employees and a turnover of 30 M €) has established itself as theone of the French leaders in contaminant analysis.
Central laboratory of 5000 M²
Recognized as an expert for food safety and the environment, the group relies on its central laboratory of 5000 M² located in Nîmes, on the Georges Beysse park, which hosts – among others – a state-of-the-art technical platform.

The reputation of the group has already enabled it to cross the French borders. Phytocontrol is now present in 6 European countries and in Morocco. Supported by annual growth which it estimates to exceed 20%, the group is pursuing its international development strategy.
International expansion : In November 2017, Phytocontrol created its first 2 subsidiaries, Phytocontrol Belgium and Phytocontrol España. Then, it was in the United Kingdom and Italy that 2 other agencies opened, and later, in Ireland and Morocco.
One foot on the big Russian market
This led it to establish itself in the Eastern European market, in Russia: “As part of its expansion beyond French borders and support for its customers in Eastern Europe, Phytocontrol Group sets up in Saint-Petersburg ”, confirms Mikaël Bresson, President of Phytocontrol group.

“We are setting up in Russia to meet the converging needs of our foreign partners”, explains the Nîmes leader. In Saint Petersburg, Phytocontrol is solicited for analysis requests, including those of contaminants.

Samples are taken on site and sent to the Gard: “The samples are transported to the central laboratory in Nîmes in less than 24 hours,” explains Mikaël Bresson.
Phytocontrol goes Russian
“This deployment in Russia confirms our position as a major international player in the service of food safety and the environment”, concludes the Nîmes manager: “The company’s website is available in Russian”.
