The School for parents and educators is ready to share the premises with other structures.
At the end of 2019, the Maison des mistons, this place of reception for children aged 0 to 3 years and their families, left Boulevard Gambetta, the Departmental Council of Gard reclaiming the space that then housed it. However, the new location, at Mont-Duplan, within the Château-Slhol, did not appeal to the many residents of Nîmes who frequented this heir to François Dolto’s Green Houses. “There is a disaffection, notes Valérie Lauzent, director of the School for parents and educators, manager of the place. Ideally, we would need a room located downtown, with a surface mminimum of 50 square meters, equipped with toilets. It must be visible and easily accessible. We are in favor of obtaining a place shared with other structures because we only occupy it four half-days per week..”
Funded by CAF, the Departmental Council and the City, a second Maison des mistons, in addition to that of Mont Duplan, is currently operating at the Mas de Mingue, rue Clément-Marot.
