Adorned with vases and statues, the Jardins de la Fontaine are among the first public gardens in Europe. They were created in the 18th century on the ancient site of the Source which integrates the Tour Magne and the Temple of Diana.
Editions Ulysse published, at the end of October, a beautiful book devoted to the 150 most beautiful gardens in the world, a richly illustrated volume offering a tour of the planet with flowers and plants. The authors chose only nine gardens in France, including the Jardins de la Fontaine in Nîmes. They advise to discover them in the fall.
“It is very pleasant to walk in these immense gardens, admirable in sunny weather, while the beautiful colors of the vegetation change over the days”, specifies Pierre Devaluy.
