On Saturday December 2, 2023, around 6:55 p.m., a grave accident de circulation took place on the Route d’Anduze in Nimes. Three vehicles were involved in this accident, two of which suffered high kinetic frontal collision.
To deal with this accident, an important system was put in place with the mobilization of 29 Gard Fire Brigade.
When emergency services arrived, two victims were trapped in one of the vehicles. Thanks to the rapid and efficient intervention of the firefighters, these people were quickly extracted. In total, four people were seriously injured in this accident : a 25-year-old man, driver of the first car. A 27 year old woman, driver of the second car. A 63-year-old man and a 62-year-old woman, passengers in the third car, initially incarcerated.
These victims were all transported to the Nîmes hospital center, with the assistance of two SMUR teams from GET 30.
The Anduze road was blocked to traffic for the duration of the intervention. The police were also mobilized to facilitate the emergency response and ensure the security of the scene.
