NÎMES 2024 Program for the week to combat sexual and sexual violence

In Nîmes, a program was established in November with associations and unions that support the fight against sexual and sexual violence.

Coordination of various associations and unions in the region was established at the end of 2022. Together, they raise their voice to fight against sexual and sexual violence. Above all, they support the victims and hope for change in our society. The choir “Les Simones” is very active in this fight. “The aim is to represent women in the streets and get messages through songs”supporting Annick, member. Josiane is also part of the choir: “The unfortunate thing is that the numbers are similar every year. “Violence is not diminishing. ”

The Human Rights League has supported women’s organizing since its inception. “It was necessary for the city of Nîmes to coordinate to create a women’s movement. Women’s rights must be protected,” names Jérémy for LDH Nîmes. The Trans Solidarity Group is also supporting the cause. “When the coordination was created, we wanted to mobilize local forces. We protect the people and the victims,” says Astride from the OST. For this fight, the coordination is appealing to all the citizens of the area: “Everyone is concerned. Women need to support each other and the men who support us are true friends. ”
