Experienced car designer Saša Selipanov, who has worked with prestigious brands such as Hyundai Genesis, Lamborghini, Bugatti and Koenigsegg, has decided to build his own Nilu 27 supercar.
Models such as Lamborghini Huracan and Bugatti Chiron, Koenigsegg Gemera and CC850 were created with the participation of Seļipanov, so it is hardly worth doubting the skills of the expert.
The participants also have no doubts, so it is known that the prototype of the sports car will be shown in the middle of August at the Monterey Car Week event in Pebble Beach, but the production will continue using Aria Group facilities in the United States.
No hybrid technology, no electrification – that’s the Selipanov brand, so the Nilu 27 is equipped with a naturally aspirated V12 unit supplied by Hartley Engines in New Zealand and a patterned seven-speed manual transmission movement H. The cabin has very few details – the gear shift, ventilation drives and instrument panel with four round clocks are not covered with upholstery, the sports seats are not adjustable (only the pedal unit ), but the same display with additional information is built into the rear view mirror. There are no driving modes, exterior mirrors and headlights have to be adjusted manually.
The design is based on a monocoque made of carbon fiber, front and rear subframes made of aluminum alloy, as well as the already mentioned 6.5-liter V12 engine, which develops 1070 hp and 860 Nm and, thanks to the short stroke of the piston. , rotating up to 13 thousand revolutions per minute – “just like an electric motor”.
The design of the engine is such that the intake and exhaust are reversed, which required a complex design of the exhaust path, which was printed from an anti- heat with a 3D printer, inspired by the nozzles of the Space Shuttle aircraft.
The package also includes liftgates, “open” double wishbone Pushrod suspension, 20- and 21-inch center-lug wheels, Michelin Pilot Sports Cup 2R tires, and carbon fiber ceramic brakes from Brembo.
First, 15 Launch-Edition Nilu 27 copies are designed without permission for public roads, then another 54 cars that will be allowed to participate in public traffic.
