Manchester United is about to get a new owner.
Last week the Glazer family, who currently own the majority of the Premier League giants, received two bids for the club; one from Qatari Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani and one from British entrepreneur Jim Ratcliffe.
Who will take over the club will be decided in the near future. However, Swedish star Victor Nilsson Lindelöf is fully focused on other things.
– I haven’t thought about it for a moment. Especially not now with the (tight) game schedule, says “VNL” according to the Daily Mirror.
– We can’t think about it. We can only think about the matches and about preparing as well as we can. So no, I haven’t thought about it. Whatever happens, happens. We only focus on our achievements.
The Glazer family is said to demand over five billion pounds, roughly 62 billion Swedish kronor, to sell their part of Manchester United. ESPN claims that there is, however, a chance that the family will remain as owners as the hedge fund Elliott Management is prepared to financially back the Glazers to remain as owners, according to reports.
However, consistent information in the British media claims that a change of ownership is the most reasonable thing at the moment.
