Nils Petersen believes “100%” in remaining at SC Freiburg

Nils Petersen’s contract with SC Freiburg will expire in a few months. The attacker is very sure that his working paper in Breisgau will be extended again.

Petersen has been hunting for goals for the sports club for six years now. The 32-year-old scored a total of 94 hits (and 19 assists) in 200 appearances for the Breisgauer – a sensational quota that also makes him the club’s record goal scorer.

His contract in Freiburg ends at the end of the season, but the attacker “definitely” expects to stay. “I am 100 percent assuming that I will also play for Freiburg in the coming season – I can safely say that”, Petersen explained in an interview with the Ruhr news.

With seven goals this season, he is currently next to Vincenzo Grifo once again the best goalscorer in his club, which is why he is sure that he still has the level to help the team. But Petersen also explains: “We have an honest, open exchange. As soon as Christian Streich or Jochen Saier signal to me that it is no longer enough in terms of sport, I am the last one who would say you have no idea. I can assess it realistically. ”

It will take a few more years before it comes to that.
