For several years, a street festival was organized at Dragefjellet. This year was no exception.
Despite the rain in buckets and buckets, Saturday’s festival was a real country festival.

Neighbor party
With a loud festival in the middle of the narrow streets of Bergen, there is a possibility of complaints from neighbors. Nils Johan Mannsåker (66) could deny this.
Mannsåker lives in the center of the festival area and has done so for 31 years.
– Before the little Dragefjellet festival, there have been parties in these streets for as long as I can remember, he laughs.
Because before Dragefjellet’s mini-festival came with high standards and music, he says they organized a Superfest in the same streets.
– Then there were long tables and soup service, the 66-year-old smiled.
And although the noise level is higher now than it was then, he says the feeling and unity is exactly the same.
– It’s a real neighborhood party, says Mannsåker before he smiles and darts off to the next concert.
– We can handle some water!
The first hours of the festival flew by with just a few drops of rain, but unfortunately it didn’t take long before the weather forecast showed what was good for him. Because the rain announced that it came hard and violently.
Fortunately, it’s Bergens in question, and the weather didn’t stop very few of them on this party-filled Saturday.
– We can handle some water, says Björk Oledóttir firmly.
Grandma’s Cafe
If you follow the smell of waffles inside the festival area, you will end up here, namely at grandma’s cafe.
And it is not a coincidence, because Ingeborg Aadnøy is the grandmother of Benjamin Knutsen, one of the founders of the festival.
She is not only Benjamin’s grandmother, but also the grandmother of the entire kitchen team who smile and say hello from the window in Dokkeveien
.
– Oskar is with my grandson, so I’m almost his grandmother too, she laughs
Double amazing
The entire festival was completed with not just one, but two surprises. The first was Martin Hazy himself, before Moyka ended everything on the street.
The drenched audience was delighted and danced until the last second of Saturday’s successful country festival at Dragefjellet.
