The police release the name of the man who died in a traffic accident between a car and a lorry on national road 3 in Kvikne in Tynset municipality on Thursday.
Nils Benny Nilsson (41) from Tynset municipality died in the traffic accident. The name will be released in consultation with the relatives, the Inland Police writes a press release.
The police were notified of the accident at 2.23 on Thursday night.
The person was confirmed dead at the scene.
– The deceased was sitting in the car, said operations manager Sidsel Svarstad in the Innlandet police district to NTB on Thursday.
There were two people in the truck who came apparently unharmed from the accident.
According to a witness who saw the accident, the car must have crossed into the oncoming field. There should have been no challenging driving conditions on site night to Thursday. The speed limit on the stretch is 60 kilometers per hour.
The operations manager stated on Thursday that they are investigating the accident together with the Norwegian Public Roads Administration’s accident analysis group. The AIBN for heavy transport is also in the picture.
