Nikon announces Z30 vlog camera and 400mm f/4.5 lens for Z series – Sound and Vision – News

Nikon comes with an aps-c camera that is mainly aimed at content creators. For example, the camera has a fully tiltable and rotatable LCD for vloggers. Nikon also comes with a 400mm lens with an aperture of f/4.5, intended for mirrorless Z-series cameras.

From Z30 has the same sensor as the Z50, which is a 20.9 megapixel sensor from the bsi-cmos-type. It features 209 autofocus points that cover approximately 90 percent of the image area horizontally and vertically. The sensitivity of the sensor is 100 to 51,200iso and videos can be shot in 4k at a maximum of 30 frames per second, or at 120fps at 1080p.

Videos can be recorded continuously for up to 125 minutes when selected at 1080p resolution and 24 or 25 frames per second. The temperature may not exceed 25 degrees Celsius; the recording time may decrease if the internal temperature becomes too high. In 4k, a recording time of up to 35 minutes is possible.

Unlike the Z50, the Z30 is equipped with a touchscreen on the back that can be rotated and tilted completely forwards and tilted from the side of the device. Another difference is the lack of an electronic viewfinder. This is missing from the Z30, while the Z50 has an electronic viewfinder with an OLED panel of 2.36 million pixels.

Nikon also comes with a prime for the Z series of mirrorless cameras, the Nikkor Z 400mm f/4.5 VR S. The objective is made up of 19 lens elements in 13 groups and includes an extra-low dispersion element, two super-extra-low dispersion elements, and a short-wavelength refraction lens element.

The diaphragm consists of nine blades and the minimum focus distance is 2.5m. The lens weighs 1245g and has a length of 234.5mm. In combination with the Z9, Nikon’s flagship Z-series model, the lens offers image stabilization up to 6 stops; with other cameras this is 5.5 stops. The 400mm is sealed against dust, dirt and moisture. Nikon will release the lens in mid-July for a suggested retail price of 3,699 euros.
