Björklöven recruits.
Niklas Svedberg, 34, is ready.
– We are bringing in an experienced goalkeeper, says sports manager Per Kenttä.
Earlier today, Djurgården presented forward John Dahlström. Now the competitor Björklöven is also gearing up in the hunt for the SHL.
NHL-qualified goalkeeper Niklas Svedberg, who played for Djurgården between 2019 and 2022, is ready for the rest of the season.
– I look forward to meeting everyone and trying to contribute to ending the season in the best way, says Niklas Svedberg in the club’s presentation video.
Fired in Italy
The 34-year-old comes closest from Italian HC Bolzano, who fired him at the beginning of January. He won the SM gold with Brynäs in the 2011/2012 season and has played 19 NHL games for the Boston Bruins.

Strong goalkeeper pair
Björklöven, which has a gloomy trend behind it and has slipped to fourth place in the table, already has one of the league’s best goalkeepers in Joona Voutilainen.
The Finn has the third best save percentage (92.03) and in Sportbladet’s recent player survey he received the second most votes in the Hockey Allsvenskan’s MVP category.
