During Friday it was time for Carina Bergfeldt to welcome a series of new guests to her sofa. This time the audience had to meet Annika Jankell, Linus Wahlgren, Emma Ortlund and Niklas Strömstedt.
Niklas was sitting comfortably on the sofa with his stomach in full swing. Carina Bergfeldt then took the opportunity to ask him what he and his wife Jenny Stromstedt usually quarrels at home in the household.
– Hmm…. yes, I probably splash toothpaste around me when I brush my teeth. And I can probably rely on her that she never puts her coffee cups away, he says then.

– But I certainly wouldn’t call it a fight, he points out.
That’s how Niklas and Strömstedt met – actually
The story of how Niklas and Jenny met has varied over the years. One version is that Niklas saved Jenny from a falling icicle. But someone who flatly denied that story is the couple’s good friend Steffo Törnquist.
Colleagues Steffo and Jenny are said to have broadcast Nyhetsmorgon and they decided to take Steffo’s boat – a Coronet DC 21 from 1968 – to Fågelbro in Stockholm’s archipelago.
– We pulled away at high rpm, but then the engine’s cylinder head broke and it started to smoke. I called my friend Niklas Strömstedt so he came with his Chris Craft Lancer and helped us. It all ended happily – Niklas and Jenny got married, Steffo told the newspaper Boating year 2017.

– They actually made their sex debut, Jenny and Niklas, at my place at Fågelbro, Steffo later told.
Niklas Strömstedt reveals the intimate nickname
During the visit to Carina, she asks Niklas how come Niklas and Jenny call each other two specific things. And it’s nothing that you can easily guess.
– How come you call each other the bear and the hare?, Carina asks.
– I am the bear and yes… she is the hare, he says, followed by laughter from the audience. He continues:
– When we met, she was very much like a little girl. A little shaky and stuff. I know it’s silly but how many people here don’t call their partner anything, he concludes.
