The Netherlands will award the points on May 11 from Leeuwarden during the final of the Eurovision Song Contest. Nikkie de Jager shares the Dutch jury scores in the final during a major event in the Frisian capital AVROTROS announced on Tuesday.
This format was chosen because Leeuwarden is the birthplace of Joost Klein, who represents the Netherlands this year. The broadcast will be broadcast live on the Oldehoofsterkerkhof square and there will be various performances. Rappers Brunzyn and Bokoedro, good friends of Klein, are among others present. The party is a joint initiative of the municipality of Leeuwarden, the province of Friesland, pop venue Neushoorn, Omrop Fryslân and presenter Sipke Jan Bousema.

It is the first time that Nikkie de Jager has awarded the points on behalf of the Netherlands. In 2021 she co-presented the song festival when it took place in Rotterdam.
Favorite with bookmakers
Joost Klein still has to secure a place in the final with his song on May 9 European Pope. The chance that this will not work seems small. According to bookmakers, the singer is one of the favorites to win the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö, Sweden.
