Tampa Bay Lightning forward Nikita Kucherov reached the 100-point mark for the NHL regular season for the fourth time in his career, the league’s press service reports.
In the match against New Jersey, the Russian forward scored three assists and reached 101 (37+64) points for the season.
He tied Washington forward and captain Alexander Ovechkin for the most seasons with 100 or more points in a regular season. Previously, Ovechkin was the sole leader among Russians in this ranking.
In NHL history, the leader in this indicator is Canadian Wayne Gretzky (15 seasons).
