We are starting a new battle for a Bulgarian child, Niki Kanchev wrote on his Facebook page. The famous TV and radio host dedicated a long publication to Sashko Petrov from Popovo, who is autistic. Kanchev also published a photo of the child with his mother Greta.
“You see how fighting and smiling they are, but the “war for a better life” for them has been going on day after day for years now“, commented the beloved presenter. Sashko is almost 7 years old and needs a stem cell infusion. In November, such a procedure was done in a clinic in Kyiv, despite the war. Niki Kanchev quotes the mother’s words about the effect of the infusion:
“The positives that I noticed after the infusions is that he became more concentrated, since 1 week he sleeps alone in his bed in the room. This is the first time, he always sleeps with us with his father. He started eating more and more diversely, trying new foods. He is still in a diaper, but he tries with us when we take him to the toilet for a small need, but sitting on the potty or the toilet is still impossible. He started dressing himself with very little help from us“.
Niki Kanchev calls on all good Bulgarians to help Sashko. The presenter writes:
