Nike today unveiled the new Nike Zoom Mercurial Superfly 9 Elite CR7. A couple dedicated to its flagship ambassador: Cristiano Ronaldo.

What inspiration?
For the design of this unique pair, Nike was inspired floor tiles. It is a type of decorated terracotta typical of Portugal found on some buildings. These floor tiles they represent a national treasure for Portugal just like Cristiano Ronaldo who is considered such in the country. A nice nod to the loyal Nike Mercurial ambassador.
This pattern is also highlighted on the entire surface of the upper and offers a very original and successful look to this pair.

This new Nike Zoom Mercurial Superfly 9 Elite CR7 incorporates a brand new Zoom Air unit developed specifically for football. This technical feature gives players a better feeling of dynamism underfoot which allows them to move faster on the pitch.
Also new, the Flyknit collar to maintain the ankle has been redesigned to create a more natural fit and thus obtain optimal support.
