Nike is once again going for a walk in its archives and unveils a reissue of the legendary “Joga Bonito” ball. Pampered by CR7, Ibrahimovic, Henry, Ronaldinho and the Seleção in the Joga Bonito pubs, this ball, is a part of the youth of many of us.
Just a glance is enough to take you back to the mid-2000s, 2006 to be precise. At the 2006 World Cup, Nike launched its “Joga Bonito” campaign to encourage more positive behavior from football players on the pitch. Symbolized by this mythical white and gold ball, the campaign featured all the biggest Nike stars of the time such as Ronaldinho, Thiery Henry, Adriano, Ronaldo Luís Nazário, Cristiano Ronaldo … all orchestrated by King Eric Cantona, as in the Scorpion ad that Nike updated last year.

Celebrating Nike’s 2006 Joga Bonito advertising campaign, the new Airlock Street soccer ball features the same design as the original. It is half white, half gold with a gradient making the transition between the two colors in the middle.
