The sports brand Nike is aiming to hark back to its glory days with its soccer commercials And now, ahead of the Qatar 2022 World Cup, they have announced a new production that aims to venture into something that has become commonplace in recent years: the Multiverse.
As applied by the Marvel Cinematic Universe to cinema and streaming, now Nike plans across the Multiverse to bring back Ronaldinho from FC Barcelonawinner of the UEFA Champions League in 2006, to face Kylian Mbappé world champion in Russia 2018.
This particular duel was born, as the first preview of the commercial shows, after a meeting in which a pair of scientists debated who was the best at their top level, Ronaldinho or Mbappé.
That’s why they decide to create a machine in which both players appear and you appreciate how Mbappé asks Ronaldinho “Ronnie?” with a surprised gesture to see the player.
And if that weren’t enough the production will also include Cristiano Ronaldowhich appears at the end of the video to receive French and Brazilian.
“A debate erupts in a secret laboratory… Bias comes into play when it comes to Mbappé and Ronaldinho from 2006. A multiverse will settle the score, but the discussion won’t be complete until Cristiano Ronaldo is finally involved,” he said. read in the description of the video.
Although Nike presented the advance on Monday the full video should be available this November 16th.
