Night rain caused the flooding of some rivers in Moravia and eastern Bohemia. The third, highest degree of flood activity was reached in six places in the morning. This follows from data on the hydrological website of the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute as of Wednesday at 05:30.
Warnings from heavy rain and the risk of floods were issued by meteorologists on Monday and, according to the update from the night, apply especially to Pardubice, Chrudim, Mohelnice, Moravská Třebová, Boskovice and Vsetín. The risk of rising flow levels applies practically to the entire northeast of Bohemia, the north of the Vysočina region, the entire Moravian-Silesian and Zlín regions, most of the Olomouc region and the north and east of the South Moravian region.
The highest degree of flood activity applied on Wednesday around 05:30 on the river Bystřička in the Vsetín region, on Velička in Strážnice, on Bělá on the dam in Boskovice, on Novohradka in Luž in the Chrudim region, Třebůvka in Hraničky and on the stream Krasovka in Radim near Krnov.
Heavy rain raised the level of the Bečva River at night to the 2nd degree of flood activity. Professional and voluntary units in Hranicko and Lipnicko thus have a difficult night behind them, when they built flood defenses from sandbags (LB) in selected places along the river. pic.twitter.com/obytxAxPjm

The first, ie the lowest degree, was valid in about fifty places in Moravia and in the northeast of Bohemia.
Meteorologists warn that water from flooded rivers and streams could flood lower inhabited areas and roads. Therefore, some roads and bridges may be closed.
