Night of the Proms 2022 | NDR.de – NDR 1 Niedersachsen

At the Night Of The Proms, classic meets pop, arias meet chart hits, suits meet leather jackets, stilettos meet Chucks and Tchaikovsky meets Boy George. Whether it’s rock, pop or hip hop – the orchestra transforms the well-known hits of the star guests into a very special listening experience.

While the Antwerp Philharmonic Orchestra and the Fine Fleur Choir, conducted by the Brazilian conductor Alexandra Arriche, are just intoning the classics by Brahms, Handel, Verdi or Bach, the next moment they are accompanying the legends of rock and pop history with their greatest hits.
The orchestra will be supported by this year’s classical soloist Yolanda Brown. The saxophonist and jazz musician has received the MOBO Award for “Best Jazz” two years in a row.
