With the change of its name last year and a new logo for 2022, the association C’Chartres Medievalewhich is headquartered at Lucé (Eure-et-Loir), reborn. It was to organize, in May 2022, a new edition of the medieval festival, but this one is canceled.
This unmissable meeting in Chartres was to be held on Friday May 27, Saturday May 28 and Sunday May 29, 2022, but its organization was suspended last February, due to the still too uncertain health context. The next edition is scheduled for 2024.
Summer Camp and Knight’s Trail
C’Chartres Médiévale does not let itself be defeated and intends to animate the city center of the Beauceron cathedral.
“A C’Chartres Médiévale summer camp” will enliven the town center with a playground, the “Knight’s course” merry-go-round, entertainment, snack bar, in the afternoon and evening from Tuesday to Saturday from July to August at the Center International Stained Glass and Heritage Museum, Cour Gérard Philippe. Something to satisfy the children!
Night and themed markets
A new animation will also make its arrival: “medieval Thursdays”, dedicated to the medieval and craft market, costumed and at night. They will take place on the Place des Halles de Chartres from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m., on Thursdays July 7, 21, and 28, 2022 and August 4, 11, 18, 25, 2022.
“An opportunity to animate the city through demonstrations of dance, fencing and extras throughout the summer”, underlines the association.
Finally, the Edicule of the Place des Halles de Chartres will be decorated throughout the month of July 2022 with an exhibition on the Middle Ages.
