The cities of Biarritz and Anglet have decided to close their beaches at night. The measure, which intends to fight against the spread of Covid-19, takes effect on Tuesday, August 4. The beaches of these two towns will therefore be inaccessible between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. To take stock of these actions and bring its offer in line with them, the Basque Country Community Mobility Union is suspending Chronoplus services to these beaches, from midnight on Tuesday, August 4 and every evening until ‘to Sunday August 30.

The beaches of Biarritz and Anglet will therefore be closed from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. in order to avoid night gatherings on the beaches. Therefore, the last departures of lines T1, 5 and 44 will take place at the following times:

Direction Biarritz / Anglet / Bayonne: departure at 11:55 pm from Biarritz “Mairie de Biarritz L. Barthou”; arrival in Bayonne “Hauts de Bayonne” at 00:37.

Direction Bayonne / Anglet / Biarritz: departure at 11 pm from Bayonne “Hauts de Bayonne”; arrival in Biarritz “Mairie de Biarritz L. Barthou” at 11:40 pm.

Line 5

Direction Biarritz / Anglet / Bayonne: departure at 10:55 pm from Biarritz “Halle d’Iraty”, passing through Biarritz “Mairie de Biarritz L. Barthou” at 11:18 pm; arrival in Bayonne “Gare de Bayonne” at 12:06 am.

Direction Bayonne / Anglet / Biarritz: departure at 11:15 pm from Bayonne “Gare de Bayonne”, passing through Biarritz “Mairie de Biarritz L. Barthou” at 11:45 pm; arrival in Biarritz “Halle d’Iraty” at 00:17.

Line 44

Direction Bidart / Biarritz: departure at 11:30 pm from Bidart “Uhabia”; arrival in Biarritz “Mairie de Biarritz L. Barthou” at 23:53.

The resumption of services in the morning will be in the usual conditions. The Syndicat des mobilités is studying an alternative service. In particular to meet the needs of night workers who use these lines. Needs that will be assessed during this first week.
