NIGERIA: Epoxy Oilserv Acquires New Water Treatment Plant

Epoxy Oilserv can now scale up its demineralized water production in Nigeria. Thanks to a new factory recently inaugurated by officials of the Nigerian company. The prefabricated plant will allow Epoxy Oilserv to produce at least 240m33 of water per day to meet the needs of various industries, in the cosmetic, pharmaceutical, electronic, energy, food, etc. sectors.

The plant will supply demineralised and distilled water. It is extremely pure water of IP quality, because it is devoid of almost all mineral ions such as cations such as sodium, calcium, iron and copper, and anions such as chloride and sulphate”explains Roselyn Nwachukwu, chemist at Epoxy Oilserv.

In the pharmaceutical industry in particular, demineralised water will be used to prepare culture media, aqueous solutions and to wash containers and equipment. Deionized water is also used as a raw material, ingredient and solvent in the processing, formulation and production of pharmaceutical and nutraceutical products, active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and intermediates, compendia articles and analytical reagents.

In industrial plants, demineralised water will facilitate wastewater recovery, increase efficiency and extend the life of boilers and steam processes. Epoxy Oilserv works with GZ Industrial Supplies, an industrial materials supplier in Nigeria.
