Niger: validation of the national eye health strategic plan (PNSO) 2023 -2027 – Niger Express

It emerges from the various speeches that marked the opening of this meeting held from December 5 to 7, 2022 that the general objective of the National Strategic Plan for Eye Health is to contribute to improving people’s access to health care and services. and social quality.

As for the strategic axes, there are three (3) namely: improving governance and leadership in health; improving access and quality of eye care services and improving the availability of eye health personnel and infrastructure.

This plan is composed of 03 programs and 28 sub-programs.

Its financing will be ensured by the budgets which are presented by strategic axis and by year, by level (30% central, 21% regional, 49% district) and by category of expenditure.

The implementation will be done mainly by the development of the multiannual priority action plan (PAP/P), the annual development of an operational action plan in collaboration with all the actors and the implementation of the activities by the PNSO in collaboration with all stakeholders.

A monitoring-evaluation plan will determine the tools and methods.
