Further allegations follow. A few days ago, Paula Abdul (61) went public with shocking news: The choreographer accused Nigel Lythgoe of sexual assault and filed a lawsuit against him. The incidents are said to have occurred during her time on the talent show American Idol. The producer denied the allegations, but now more women are making accusations against him.
According to Us Weekly, numerous American media outlets are reporting that a new lawsuit was filed on Tuesday by two women whose identities are not known. It is said that Nigel pushed one of the ladies against a piano and tried to kiss her. The 74-year-old is also said to have groped the plaintiffs on set and slapped them on the bottom.
Nigel had already publicly defended himself against Paula’s claims. TMZ released his statement in which he wrote: “Yesterday, however, I learned of these allegations in the press out of the blue, and I want to be clear: ‘Not only are they false, they are deeply offensive to me and to everything ‘What I stand for.'”
