SESSA AURUNCA – Friday 15 November 2024, in the Luigi Izzo library, the students of Agostino Nifo Classical High School in Sessa Aurunca they will be able to experience an important moment of reflection and discussion on a topic of great civil and social impact; in fact, they will meet the supervisory magistrate Dr. Marco Puglia who will develop the theme “The prison sentence and the rehabilitation of the convicted”
The meeting is part of the Legality project that the historic Sessano high school has been fueling for years (see the meetings with the magistrates Cantone and Roberti, with Captain Ultimo, the participation in the Libera campaigns and the confiscated assets initiatives) thanks to the will of the Headmaster Giovanni Battista Abbate and of the legality representatives, Professors Laura Russo and Domenico Bevellino.
Doctor Puglia is a magistrate at the Surveillance Court of Naples with coordination duties over the entire Province of Caserta through the Surveillance Office of Santa Maria Capua Vetere; with regard to penitentiary institutions, it has jurisdiction, among other things, over the prisons of Carinola and Santa Maria Capua Vetere which also includes the only Italian military prison.
In the meeting on November 15th, Dr. Puglia will be supported by Dr Maria Laura Forteformer student of the Nifo Classical High School, Director of the UEPE (Office for External Criminal Enforcement) of Caserta, peripheral branch of the Department of Juvenile and Community Justice and by Dr. Emilia di Lena, Judicial Officer in charge of the trial office at the Court of Appeal of Venice.
