Cosne-Cours-sur-Loire. Nièvre, lost territory for the grandes écoles? Organized by Angélique Ligouy, contact professor of the Grandes écoles, Friday’s meeting was very informative by bringing together former students and different classes from the general sector and the STL sector.
Mathilde Bouchard, in her final year of pharmacy studies in Clermont-Ferrand, opened the ball in front of around thirty students by presenting her journey as a student and her future professional activity.
Méline Ledoux, in the first year of law at Nanterre, Flavy Darcy, after a preparatory class who is moving towards a master’s degree in public law at ISMaPP (Higher Institute of Public and Political Management), and Mallia Lelarge, in the fifth year of a master’s degree in law audience in Dijon (president of De la Nièvre aux grandes écoles) came to talk about their experiences after high school.
Many former students who became students presented their BUT chemistry training in Orléans, BUT physical measurements in Le Creusot, BTS in aesthetics-cosmetology professions in Tours, BTS in water professions in Cosne or even Staps in Le Creusot, and spoke about their student life and the changes in daily life.
They gave the youngest people the benefit of a concrete experience: their choices, their thoughts on orientation, sometimes changes in sector or failure and how to overcome it.
Equal opportunities
This meeting was completed by an intervention from the DNGE association (From Nièvre to the Grandes Ecoles) with Maxime Thuriot, in fifth year at Sciences Po Paris.
DNGE acts for equal opportunities by intervening in Nivernais high schools, by setting up mentoring or by giving advice and testimonials through social networks. Members are also present during company visits.
This meeting ended in the form of direct exchanges by sector between students and pupils who intend to study the same studies. Similar operations are scheduled for January (medicine, Sciences Po).
