Her mission is to light a flame on everyone in Flanders and Brussels. And Niels Destadsbader presents all key moments live from Bruges on VRT 1.
During ‘The hottest week’, Zita Wauters travels to all corners of the country to sell flames. From a TV studio to a crazy Christmas market, a beautiful project or hot action in the neighborhood: no location is too far for the flaming Zita. “Since I can remember, the television and radio have been on continuously in our home during ‘The hottest week’. I always enjoy so many warm, catchy stories, and especially so much goodness in Flanders. I’m really looking forward to it and hope to be able to contribute, because every child should be able to grow up without worries, and that is not something that can be taken for granted. I hope that we can all work together to create a safe and warm place for children and young people!” said Zita.
Niels Destadsbader is the leading man for VRT 1 and will make a show every day during ‘The warmest week’ from ‘The warmest house’ in Bruges. On Monday, December 18, he will light the flame during the starting moment and on Christmas Eve he will present the final show, the traditional highlight.
Niels Destadsbader: “Since my period as a Ketnet wrapper, I have lost my heart to our children and young people. So their fate is close to my heart anyway. And that such a wonderful initiative as De Warmste Week can now continue in beautiful West Flanders, that makes the circle completely complete. I didn’t have to think for a second when they asked me if I wanted to present the TV shows. Ready to burn together with all of Flanders.”
