Happy as a fish in water! Jérôme Anstett experienced a “year 2022 rich in emotions and exchanges with readers”. This inhabitant of Niderviller scoured the literary salons of Metz, Nancy, Saverne, etc. to present The Stone Ship – History of the Rock of Dabo.
“I had this project for a long time to write the history of the Rocher de Dabo. Being passionate about the subject, I have accumulated a lot of documents. With the arrival of the Covid and the obligation to stay at home, I made my desire come true by deepening my knowledge. »
“Transmitting a story is great”
Jérôme Anstett didn’t expect to sign so many – this is his third reprint. In one year, it sold more than 300 copies. “People want to know the history of the iconic sites they visit. In Moselle-Sud, it is the most important in terms of history and archeology. And, ultimately, few people know his true story. The feedback from its readers is positive, some even visit the Rock with the book under their arm. “To pass on a story is great. It is a joy that transports me. »
The Stone Ship is not ready to return to port and Jérôme’s 2023 diary is filling up. In particular, he will present his work at the general meeting of the Friends of the Heritage of Niderviller, on February 17 at 8 p.m. “Writing history has become a necessity”, confides the author who admits to working on a new writing project.
The book is available in bookstores and in the tourist offices of Sarrebourg and Dabo.
