Nicole Bender-Rummler and Nico Reese appointed as interim coaches for 1. FC Köln’s women’s team

Cologne (AP) – Nicole Bender-Rummler and Nico Reese are to look after soccer women from 1. FC Köln in the Bundesliga until the end of the season. The club announced this on Wednesday. The head of the women’s and girls’ soccer division and the coach of the U17 juniors took over the sporting leadership after the separation from coach Sascha Glass and will now remain in office as an interim duo.

“Both of them will receive all the support they need. After the end of the season, we will take care of filling the head coach position with a long-term perspective,” explained FC Managing Director Christian Keller. Glass was relieved of his duties as head coach in the relegation battle on March 23 at the Cologne club.
