showbiz Exactly 20 years after Nicole and Hugo played the leading roles in ‘Zo Mooi, Zo Blond’, this musical comedy premiered again this afternoon in Antwerp with, among others, Jacky Lafon, Geena Lisa and Yanni Bourguignon on stage. Several BV’s attended this festive performance and sang along at the top of their lungs to the many Flemish hits that were performed.
The story takes place in the 1970s in Blankenberge. Nicole and Hugo shine in Het Witte Paard, the youth flutter around to the sounds of Flemish hits and the sun spoils the visitors of Camping Bonanza. At that campsite we meet regular holidaymaker Jeanine (Jacky Lafon), who suddenly has new neighbors. Cois and José ‘van ‘t Kiel’ (Geena Lisa Peeters & Ivan Pecnik). Unfortunately, things don’t click between these new neighbors, but thanks to campsite operator Sylvain (Maarten Bosmans), the atmosphere remains high with the best Flemish music from the 70s. And the children (Yanni Bourguignon, Lisa Gerlo, Brent Pannier and Laure Ven) discover love… and each other. With music by Nicole & Hugo, Ann Christy, Jimmy Frey, Rita Deneve and Louis Neefs, among others.
