Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro believes that the actions of the United States and its European allies are aimed at escalating the conflict in Ukraine. According to him, in this way Western countries want to “drive Russia into a corner.”

The Russian side has repeatedly stated about the risk of the United States becoming a participant in the conflict in Ukraine, in particular because of the active supply of arms to Kyiv. At the same time, the United States has repeatedly stressed that it is not going to become a participant in the Ukrainian conflict. Because of this, according to American media, Washington does not approve the transfer of long-range missiles to Kyiv, as it fears that Ukraine will use them to strike deep into the Russian Federation.
