This year, the Science Festival, initiated by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research, will be organized around the theme “Oceans of knowledge”. In this context, the Talence Arts and Culture Forum will present the exhibition “White water, torrents and mountain waterfalls”, by Talence photographer and naturalist Nicolas Ilbert, from Tuesday October 8 to October 26.
Through the artist’s photographs, visitors will be able to discover the waterways which are an integral part of the great water cycle. This series of photos brings together photos taken in Cantal (Murat sector) and in the Pyrenees (Cauterets and Aspe valley).
Using the long exposure photographic technique, this exhibition highlights the liveliness of the water in these torrents. By the flow resulting from the movement of the water, we can thus highlight its flow and its path, unlike a classic photo which would freeze it. The fluidity of the water, in opposition to the rocks and trees of the banks, then gives a more dynamic and very lively image.
The opening will take place on Tuesday October 8 at 6:30 p.m. Free entry from Tuesday to Saturday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Such. 05 57 12 29 00.
