Actor Nicolas Cage’s son Weston Coppola Cage denies having committed the crime. 33-year-old Coppola Cage was recently arrested in connection with an incident that took place in Los Angeles in April. According to the charges, Weston assaulted two people, one of whom is Weston’s mother, an actress Christina Fulton. According to the prosecutor, the instrument used in the incident was a deadly weapon.

Coppola Cage and Fulton appeared at the Los Angeles courthouse on Wednesday for a hearing on the case. Both commented on the case to the media in few words.

According to TMZ, Fulton was emotional when he arrived at the courthouse. He did not want to comment on the relationship between his son, but insisted that the boy get “the help he needs”.

Coppola Cage commented to TMZ the opposite of her mother. Weston told the media cameraman that his mother needed help.

In court on Wednesday, Coppola Cage pleaded not guilty to the crime. In court, Coppola Cage was also granted a restraining order against his mother during the legal process.

Fulton previously commented on the series of events that happened in April with a press release. According to Fulton, her son suffered a mental breakdown. The mother tried to calm her son, but he attacked her furiously. Fulton suffered visible injuries from the incident.

Weston Coppola Cage also has a previous criminal record. He was arrested at the age of 26 for drunk driving. In addition, he was charged with domestic violence in 2011.
