Real Madrid and Barcelona played the first Clásico of the season in the early hours of Sunday morning, a friendly match in the United States.
At MetLife in New Jersey, Hansi Flick’s team won 1-2. Real Madrid’s goal, already in the final stretch of the match, was scored by Tenerife’s Nico Paz, who had come on after the hour mark. Arda Güler took a corner kick and Nico, who surprised from the second line, headed in the goal (82′) making any intervention by Iñaki Peña impossible.
“I am very happy to help the team. We were unable to take the victory, but the team’s attitude has been very good. I am here to help when I am needed and I am happy with the minutes I am able to enjoy. My goal is to continue improving day by day,” said the 19-year-old after the match.
