Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir has officially appointed Nicolas D. Kanter alias Nico Kanter to be the President Director of PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM), replacing Dana Amin who has served as President Director of Antam since December 19, 2019.
This appointment is the result of the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS) today, Thursday (23/12/2021) in Jakarta.
This was conveyed by Antam’s Corporate Secretary Yulan Kustiyan during a press conference after the EGMS.
“We express our dedication and thank you to those who were replaced for their contributions,” he said during a press conference after the EGMS, Thursday (12/23/2021).
Nico Kanter is no stranger to the world of mining and downstream mining (smelters), especially nickel, because currently he has also served as Commissioner of PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (INCO) since April 29, 2021. Previously, he served as President Director and CEO of PT Vale. Indonesia Tbk for nine years.
In addition to appointing Nico Kanter, the EGMS also reshuffled all the old directors, and appointed a number of new people including Basar Simanjuntak as Director of Human Resources, Elisabeth RT Siahaan as Director of Finance and Risk Management, I Dewa Bagus Sugata Wirantaya as Director of Operations and Production, and Dolok Robert Silaban as Director of Business Development.
Meanwhile, from the Commissioner’s perspective, the EGMS replaced two old commissioners and appointed new commissioners, including for the position of President Commissioner, including FX Sutijastoto as President Commissioner and Independent Commissioner, replacing Lt. Gen. TNI (Ret.) Agus Surya Bakti, then Dilo Seno Widagdo as Commissioner, replacing Dadan Kusdiana.
