Drake is said to have met the girl online in 2017. She was 15 at the time and he was 31. The two had sexually explicit conversations, but once the actor found out how old she was, he said he stopped sending. However, the girl continued to follow him to shows and meet and greets, while Drake didn’t know it was the same person he was texting.

The singer was also convicted earlier this year for sending those messages. In his Instagram video, he once again says it was “reckless and irresponsible” for him to have those conversations. “But I want to make it clear that no sexual images were sent and nothing physical happened between me and this person. They were just messages,” it sounds.

The actor felt that the settlement that was presented to him – a 200-hour community service and a two-year suspended prison sentence – was the best way to put everything behind him as quickly as possible. “That way everyone involved could get on with their lives.
