Nick Schilder, Simon Keizer and Kees Tol come with a documentary about The Beatles. In Nick, Simon en Kees: The Beatles – Magical Mystery Tour the three immerse themselves in the lives of “their joint musical heroes”, AVROTROS reports on Thursday.
Painter, Keizer and Tol travel to England for the program. There they want to record the story of band members John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr.
They start their journey in Liverpool, where The Beatles grew up and took their first musical steps together. Then they go to London, the city that took the group’s music to even greater heights.
Last week, Schilder and Keizer ended their musical collaboration as Nick & Simon with six concerts in Rotterdam Ahoy. The two have previously announced that they will continue to make television together.
The program can be seen from May 18 at 9.30 pm at AVROTROS on NPO1.
